New Hope Kids - 411 Volunteer

As a BHK 411 Volunteer, you are known to create a welcoming and fun party everywhere you go. You’re a ninja when gathering personal family information and you are not even a Facebook stalker. You are also fluent in Mickey Mouse (full of encouragement) and Dora the Explorer (full of information). You’re greatest joy each weekend is to help new families as they arrive for registration at NHKids Ministry, as well as welcome home all of our returning families.

Your primary responsibilities include:
• Helping to create a welcoming and “partyish” environment while providing fast and friendly service to new families registering for the first time or regular attending families checking into our NHKids Ministry programs.
• Cross-trained with the ability to step into any of the NHKids Guest Relations volunteer roles including: New Family Host, Check-in Kiosk Attendant/Greeters, Safety Team or NHKids 411 Station Attendant, as needed.
• Assisting with the implementation of security processes and procedures, ensuring that each child has a nametag and is properly checked in.
• Assisting parents with missing tags as needed, ensuring uncompromised commitment to the safety and security of our kids.
• Attending huddle with your team to build community.
• Assisting with inviting volunteers to join the party and serve alongside you.

In the NHK 411 volunteer role, you stand at the ready and man the NHK 411 booth at campus to engage families or anyone for that matter, with questions about New Hope and NHK. You also can provide kid-friendly jokes and trivia for giveaways and keep kids engaged or possibly distracted if it’s needed so they can get checked in. You are the spot where people can come and sign up to volunteer so that means you are have “the 411” on most things that a volunteer would do in any spot on our team. You are our version of an Apple Genius!

Minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old. However, all NHK Junior Volunteers who are 8 and 9 years old must always be supervised by their parent or adult guardian. Junior Volunteers who are 10 years old through 16 years old may volunteer without their parents, however they must be supervised.

Our Vision is to INVEST in Kids, PARTNER with Parents, and JOURNEY with Families as they Know Christ and Make Him Known!
